Dr. Bryan Persinger, DDS — Founder & Lead Dentist
Dr. Bryan Persinger has been practicing dentistry since 1998, bringing over 25 years of clinical experience and an uncommon depth of advanced training to every patient he sees. Originally trained as a mechanical engineer before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Ohio State University, Dr. Persinger brings a uniquely analytical and precise approach to dental care.
His commitment to continuing education has driven him to pursue some of the most rigorous post-graduate training available. In 2016, Dr. Persinger graduated from the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle, Washington — a premier post-graduate program focused on the latest advances in aesthetics, implants, and restorative dentistry. He has also completed hands-on advanced training through The Hornbrook Group and the Pac-Live Aesthetic Continuum.
Dr. Persinger is a proud member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the North Carolina Dental Society. His professional affiliations reflect both his commitment to the highest standards of care and his dedication to staying at the forefront of modern dentistry.
Originally from Hartville, Ohio, Dr. Persinger moved to the Charlotte area in 1998 and has called Cornelius home for the past fifteen years. He and his wife Tracie have been married for 30 years and have two children, Madeline and Justin, and a goldendoodle named Cali. Outside the office, Dr. Persinger is passionate about mountain biking on the many excellent trails around the area, and the family stays active with boating, tennis, skiing, and riding dirt bikes.
Dr. Connor Zehak, DMD — Associate Dentist
Dr. Connor Zehak joined the Northcross Dental Care team with a genuine passion for the art and science of dentistry — and for the profound impact a great dental experience can have on a person's confidence and quality of life. He grew up in Oak Brook, Illinois, where his father's dental practice gave him a front-row seat to the difference compassionate, skilled dental care can make. That early influence became a calling.
Dr. Zehak earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University in Arizona and has dedicated himself to expanding his clinical skills through continuing education in Spear Education, implant dentistry, endodontic therapy, and biomimetic dentistry. He is an active member of Spear and the Academy of General Dentistry, reflecting his commitment to lifelong learning and excellence in patient care.
What sets Dr. Zehak apart is the time he takes with every patient — listening carefully, explaining treatment options in clear language, and building a plan tailored to each individual's needs. To him, dentistry is the intersection of science, artistry, and genuine human connection. His goal is not just to improve your oral health, but to help you feel confident, heard, and well cared for at every visit.
Dr. Zehak lives in Mooresville with his wife — also a dentist he met in dental school — and their five birds and two dogs. He is an active volunteer, participating each year in Free Dental Day, Give Kids a Smile, and Mission of Mercy, bringing dental care to those who need it most. Outside the office, he loves spending time outdoors, exploring nature, and enjoying life by the lake.
